Saints Smash Rangers 21 Apr 2017

Wellington Saints who have moved to 9-0 with a 103-67 rout of the James Blond Supercity Rangers.

The Rangers were without their point guard Lindsay Tait (Calf) tonight, and Wellington took advantage of this early, leading by 23 at halftime. After the break, Wellington increased the deficit to 41 at the end of the third, allowing head coach Kevin Braswell to rest his starters in the fourth. Shea Ili top scored a team high 19 points, Josh Duinker had 18, and off the bench BJ Anthony added 16 for the Saints.

Mitch Carron scored a game high 25 points, and Earnest Ross added 18 for the Rangers, but overall it was a poor offensive showing, shooting 27% from the field and 3/23 from three.
