Pete McNae - Nelson Mail
Erron Maxey brought the house down on Saturday. Part of it, at least.

Pace controlled the ball at the top of the key for 10sec, then drove hard to the hoop for what could have been the winning layup. He drew heavy contact as he shot the ball but no call was made and ball collected rim and drifted offline.
Enter Maxey, stage left.
The American forward launched himself above two Saints rebounders to catch the ball and dunk it back so fiercely that a pin came out of the basket support and the whole structure folded to the floor. A boisterous crowd in the Trafalgar Centre came totally unglued at that moment.
