The Wellington Saints are excited to announce the signing of Tall Black Beny Anthony for the 2014 season.
Anthony had a career best season with the Otago Nuggets last year, averaging 20.3 points and eight rebounds, leading the Nuggets to the playoffs for the first time since 1997.
The 25 year old was selected in last year's All Star Five and won the Stan Hill Trophy for most outstanding NZ forward/center.
Adelaide 36ers were quick to sign up the power forward for the Australian League, and he has been a bright spark off the bench, the 36ers currently second in the league with 13 wins and seven losses.
"Beny is an exciting addition to the Saints roster, he is a very good scorer and rebounder, I think more importantly Beny plays hard and never shies away from the challenge," said Saints General Manager Fran Scholey.
Anthony is excited to be working with Shane Heal in preparation World Cup in Spain later this year.
