The Wellington Saints are pleased to announce Pacific Jewellers as the new naming rights partner for the highly successful Bartercard National Basketball Franchise.
The Wellington team will now be known as the Pacific Jewellers Saints.
This new partnership has come at a key time for the Saints, who haven’t had a naming sponsor for two seasons.
Fran Scholey, General Manager of the Pacific Jewellers Saints, was delighted to announce the news. “This is a fantastic partnership – something that is great for the team, the sport and Wellington” she said.
“It’s been tough times out there for sporting sponsorship, but with the economy looking promising and the opportunity to partner with principal owners Colin and Penny Lester it was an easy decision.”
The Pacific Jewellers Saints have a fantastic sponsor and fan base who are an integral part of what makes the team so successful.”
Colin Lester, Owner of Pacific Jewellers in Lambton Quay and Johnsonville Shopping Centre said “we are excited to partner with the Saints as they are the most successful sports team in Wellington. They also play indoors which we feel appeals to families more, and we want to endorse a sport which has a great community following.”
The Pacific Jewellers Saints will play their first home game at the TSB Bank Arena, Queens Wharf, on Wednesday 2nd April at 7pm against the Hawkes Bay Hawks in the opening game of the Bartercard NBL. This will be the first opportunity for Wellington fans to see the new look roster of the Pacific Jewellers Saints.
