The Wellington Saints continued their perfect start to their National Basketball League title defence, easing to a 84-72 win over the Manawatu Jets to go 4-0 in Palmerston North on Saturday night.
Playing 24 hours after beating Hawke's Bay in Napier, American centre Kareem Johnson was the Saints' standout performer, scoring a game high 20 points to go with 10 rebounds.
Johnson shot an efficient 9/12 from the floor and also did the business at the defensive end, registering two blocks and two steals.
