Cigna New Zealand new naming rights sponsor of Cigna Saints

Wellington’s most successful sporting franchise – the Saints - is aiming for a slam dunk, 3rd consecutive and 11th overall National Basketball league title in 2018 with the backing of new naming rights sponsor Cigna New Zealand.

“The Cigna Saints recognises the importance of being involved in the community and as Cigna is dedicated to helping New Zealanders improve their health and wellbeing, today’s announcement is an exciting partnership between two great brands,” Cigna Head of Sales and Marketing Suzanne de Geus says.

Cigna Saints General Manager Fran Scholey says: “We are thrilled to welcome Cigna into our Saints Family. Our organisation has been built on family values and therefore we pride ourselves in wanting and providing the best opportunities for everyone; that includes the team, sponsors, fans and community.

“Most importantly for us, this partnership with Cigna doesn’t just help the team it also enables the opportunity to help raise awareness and improve the health and wellbeing of not only the Cigna Saints Family but the wider wellington region, through our coaching in schools programme, mentoring and FREE tickets in schools. We are incredibly proud to partner with Cigna New Zealand.”

The National Basket Basketball League starts April 2018 and runs until the start of August 2018.
Wellington’s TSB Arena will again be the home of the Cigna Saints for all of their nine home games.

de Geus says: “We are excited to bring our passion for health and wellbeing to support a Wellington team, and the greater Wellington community. We wish the Cigna Saints every success during the 2018 season – we are looking forward to being part of their journey to get another national title.”

The Cigna Saints will unveil their new logo, uniform and player announcements at a showcase at TSB on March 15.
