Overtime Heartbreak At Home

In a thrilling overtime showdown, the Mills Albert Wellington Saints suffered a narrow 109-113 loss to the Franklin Bulls last night at TSB Arena. The game was an intense battle from start to finish, showcasing the skill and determination of both teams.

Leading the charge for the Saints was Izayah Le'afa, who delivered an outstanding performance with 35 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Ben Ayre added 22 points and 5 assists, while Taane Samuel contributed 21 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 steals.

Despite the valiant efforts from our players, the Bulls managed to edge out the victory in overtime, making for a nail-biting conclusion to an already exhilarating game.

We also saw the debut of our new import, Terry Henderson Jr., who brings fresh energy and talent to the squad. His presence will undoubtedly be a valuable addition as we move forward in the season.

The Saints will regroup and refocus as they prepare for a challenging doubleheader on the road. First, they will face the Hawke's Bay Hawks on Thursday, followed by a tough matchup against the defending champions, the Canterbury Rams, in Christchurch on Saturday.
