First Import Joins The Squad
The Mills Albert Wellington Saints have made a significant addition to their roster by signing Australian forward Nick Marshall as their first import for the 2025 season. Standing at 6'5", Marshall brings versatility and dynamic playmaking to the Saints, with his ability to impact both ends of the floor.
Head coach Aaron Young highlighted why Marshall was a priority target for the team.
"Watching Nick’s progress and positive strides closely in the ANBL made him an obvious recruit in free agency. You’re seeing the responsibility and trust he’s earned from the 36ers this season, playing an important role with their group in big moments. His versatility will be on full display in our league, having full reign to be himself."
Marshall joins the Saints after a strong start to the campaign with the Adelaide 36ers in the Australian NBL, where he proved his value with increased responsibilities. He also showcased his skills in the NBL1 South league in 2024 with the Mount Gambier Pioneers, earning league MVP honors while averaging 22.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
Excited for the next chapter of his career, Marshall is looking forward to embracing the Saints culture and playing in front of the passionate Wellington fan base.
"I can’t wait to get to Wellington, heard great things about everyone from the staff to the fans showing out every week. I’m looking forward to playing for coach Young and with guys like Shea, Hyrum and Zay. Think we are gonna have a special group once we all get together! See y'all soon!!"
With Marshall joining an already strong core, the Saints are shaping up to be a serious contender in 2025.
