Kael Robinson to make NBL Debut with Wellington Saints

Your Wellington Saints are thrilled to have Kael Robinson on the squad for the 2021 season! With a solid understanding of the game, he has a keen hunger to learn and develop his already impressive skill set and we are happy to be the club he has chosen to do this with. 

Head Coach Coronel says "We are pleased to announce that Kael Robinson has selected the Saints as his destination of choice for furthering his development as a player. I believe Kael was one of the best, most mature and tactically advanced high school players in the country last year, leading St John’s of Hamilton to an unofficial national championship at the Mel Young Invitational tournament featuring eight of the best teams in the country."

"Kael’s mature approach will serve him well as he progresses to NBL level, and I expect him to be ready to contribute as a rookie. This has been evident in the pre-season as he has readily assimilated into Wellington life and the Saints family, and has thrived on and off the court. Kael has the potential to have a long and successful, potentially collegiate, professional and international career, and we’re glad he has chosen to build his foundation with us."

Robinson's NBL debut will be against the Otago Nuggets on April 24th at Edgar Center for the clubs first game of the season, followed by his home court debut April 30th againts the Canterbury Rams at TSB Arena.
