Nathaniel returns home for 2023

The Wellington Saints are thrilled to announce the addition of Nathaniel Salmon to their roster for the 2023 season. Nathaniel is a talented young player from the Porirua region and has been making waves in the New Zealand basketball scene for some time.

Nathaniel spent last season playing for the Manawatū Jets, where he quickly established himself as one of the team's key players. His impressive performances caught the attention of the Wellington Saints coaching staff, who were looking to add depth to their squad ahead of the upcoming season. Nathaniel represented the Saints in the Schick 3x3 tournament late last year.

Head Coach Troy McLean spoke highly of Nathaniel's talent and potential, saying, "We're really excited to have Nathaniel join us for the 2023 season. He's a talented player with a lot of potential, and we're looking forward to seeing what he can do on the court in a Saints jersey for a full season."

Nathaniel's signing is inspiring for local fans, as they will now have the opportunity to see one of their own take the court for the Saints. The Porirua native has been honing his skills on the local basketball courts for years and is excited to represent his community on a larger stage.

"I'm really looking forward to joining the Wellington Saints for the upcoming season," said Nathaniel. "It's always been a goal of mine to play for my hometown team, especially coming from a small community in Porirua, and I'm excited to contribute to the team's success in any way I can."

The team's commitment to developing local talent and their proven track record of success makes them a formidable opponent for any team in the league.

Fans can look forward to seeing Nathaniel and the rest of the Wellington Saints squad in action when the season kicks off in April.
