Nick Muszynski Joins the 2025 Squad

The Mills Albert Wellington Saints have made a sizeable addition to their roster for the 2025 season by signing American center Nick Muszynski. Standing at 6 feet 11 inches, Muszynski brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to the team.

Muszynski's basketball journey began at Belmont University, where he redshirted his first season before making an immediate impact as a freshman. In his debut game, he recorded 18 points, seven rebounds, and five blocks against Illinois State. Throughout his collegiate career, he consistently demonstrated his skills, earning First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) honors in each of his four seasons. Notably, he was named OVC Freshman of the Year in 2019 and received the OVC Tournament Most Valuable Player award in 2020 after leading Belmont to the championship. By the end of his tenure at Belmont, Muszynski had become the program's NCAA Division I career leader in blocked shots.

Following his successful college career, Muszynski pursued professional opportunities overseas. He signed with Astoria Bydgoszcz in the Polish Basketball League in 2022 and later played for the Kirchheim Knights in Germany's ProA league during the 2023-2024 season. In Germany, he averaged 12.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, showcasing his versatility and consistent performance on the court.

The addition of Muszynski aligns with the Saints' strategic vision under Head Coach Aaron Young, who was appointed in September 2024. Young, known for his tactical expertise and commitment to developing young talent, expressed his enthusiasm about the new signing:

"Excited to have Nick on board for this upcoming season. A Belmont legend, who has impacted winning everywhere he’s played. Tapping into his IQ and feel for the game will steer us into being a consistent group. He will be a great hub for our offense, and lead us as a defensive anchor protecting the rim."

Muszynski's arrival is expected to bolster the Saints' frontcourt, providing a strong offensive presence and defensive stability. His experience and leadership will be invaluable as the team aims for success in the upcoming season.

“I couldn’t be more excited to get to Wellington and put on the Saint’s uniform. I know this is a championship level organization on all fronts, and I can’t wait to begin our journey towards that championship number 13 this season!"

With the 2025 season approaching, the Wellington Saints and their fans eagerly anticipate the impact that Nick Muszynski will bring to the team, both on and off the court.
