Rangimarie Returns for 2023

The Wellington Saints are pleased to announce the signing of Rangimarie Dougall-Mita for the 2023 season. The 23-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the team, having spent the previous two seasons with the Saints, and prior to that, with the Manawatu Jets.

Dougall-Mita was a main player for the Saints last season on and off the court. His outstanding performances on the court helped the Saints reach the playoffs and make a run for the championship. He was also part of the championship-winning team in 2021.

General Manager Jordan Mills is excited to have Dougall-Mita back in the squad. "Rangimarie is an incredibly talented player who has a great work ethic and is committed to winning," said Mills. "He had a season of growth last year and we expect him to continue to improve and contribute to the team's success this year."

Dougall-Mita is looking forward to another season with the Saints after an off-season getting refreshed. "I’ve spent this past off-season traveling abroad whilst keeping up with my training at the same time so I’ve come home refreshed, excited, and ready to go," said Dougall-Mita. "Last season was the most enjoyment I’ve had playing basketball and I’m looking forward to building on that again this year with the club I grew up watching and supporting as a youngster. Always grateful for the opportunity to play at home in front of my parents, family, and friends."

The Wellington Saints are thrilled to have Marnie back in the squad for the 2023 season and can't wait to see what he continues to bring to the team.
