Saints ready for their 2021 comeback
Dates have been announced for the 2021 Sal's NBL and the Wellington Saints are ready to get back on court after making the decision to sit out of the modified 2020 season.
CEO Jordan Mills says "We are really excited to be back to defend our title in 2021 and bring high quality basketball back to our city and our home fans." One thing that the Club really missed he says was particpaitng in their Coaching in Schools programmes with Kura from around the Wellington region to as far out as Kapiti.
"We can't wait to get back into our community with coaching in schools and helping our young tamariki learn the game we love. It will be great to put on another great season of games of which we can get them too courtside also through our Pak N Save Tickets in Schools programmes too."
The Saints came off the back of a very successful 2019 season, going undefeated and taking out the championship under the coaching of Paul Henare. Making the decision to focus on coming back for 2021 was one that was supported by fans and sponsors, with all staying on board for the 2021 season and 95% of fans happy to roll over memberships bought for the 2020 season to the upcoming year.
"As always we appreciate the continued support of our valued sponsors and fans who have been beyond amazing during the past 6 months. We look forward to seeing you all courtside again."
Upstairs Memberships and a very limted amount of downstairs memberships will be on sale via https://www.saints.co.nz/products/membership-packages/ from November 2nd!
