Tohi Smith-Milner Returns for 2023

Current Tall Black, South East Melbourne Phoenix big man and 2021 NZNBL Champion, Tohi Smith-Milner re-joins the Wellington Saints for the 2023 Season.

Tohi, currently playing for the South East Melbourne Phoenix in the Australian National Basketball League, is excited to get the Saints back to the championship he held with the team in 2021.

Tohi has spent 7 seasons in the NZNBL winning the championship on two separate occasions as well as an ANBL championship in 2018.

“I’m very excited to be coming back to the Saints” says Tohi.

“I’m looking forward to being coached by Troy who was a player a couple of years ago when I was last there”. Troy Mclean, who now moves into Head Coach in 2023, last played for the Saints with Tohi in the 2021 winning season. “The Saints have one of the best fan bases in the league and fill out TSB every game. I’m just super excited to get back and start getting to work with the boys.”

General Manager Jordan Mills had this to say on the return of Tohi Smith-Milner;

We look to continue to build on Tohi and Tommy V in the coming weeks to put together a championship-winning squad for 2023.
