Tom Vodanovich signs with the Wellington Saints

Wellington Saints sign Tom Vodanovich for the upcoming 2022 Sal’s New Zealand Basketball League Season, set to commence in April. Tom originally from Wellington, having played for St Pats Town, is currently based in Sydney playing for the Sydney Kings in the Australian National Basketball League. Tom is a current Tall Black and has represented New Zealand in age group play.

Current Wellington Saints Head Coach Guy Molloy has really enjoyed seeing Tom play across the NZNBL and ANBL noting how hard Tom plays - “He is a tough competitor who plays hard at both ends, this ensures the club has an elite front line for the 2022 season". Jordan Mills CEO of Wellington Saints is excited to bring St Pat's town old boy home “Really excited to be able to bring Tom home to Wellington and play for our club, he’s a proud Wellingtonian and proud St. Pat's town old boy”, this is an important signing to bring Tom home to Wellington, “Tom is one of the best forwards in NZ being a part of the Tall Blacks and currently with the Sydney Kings in the ANBL for the past two seasons has grown from strength to strength each year and constantly got better at his craft. Tom will be a fan favourite for our fans here in Wellington this season.”

Tom had this to say on his signing to the Wellington Saints, where he has previously played 36 seconds in his junior years “I’ve played 36 seconds for the Saints many years ago as a junior, and I’m ready to add to that. They have a winning culture and I am lucky to be able to have the opportunity to continue that this season, I am lucky to be able to have the opportunity to continue that this season, playing under Coach Molloy is also exciting, as well only heard great things about him as a person and coach so looking forward to that.”

We're excited to see Tom once again in the blue and white for our 2022 Season.
