Wellington local Rangimarie Mita suits up for the Saints

Wellington local Rangimarie Mita has been picked up by the Wellington Saints for the 2021 NZNBL season. 

We’re excited to have Wellington local, Rangimarie Mita, out of St Pat’s Silverstream, join the Saints for the 2021 NZ NBL season." says Coach Coronel.

"Rangimarie missed last year with injury, and has shown great resiliency to return, even better than before. He has been highly impressive in
the local Intercity competition and has impressed at the off-season practices." 

Prior to injury, Rangimarie made his NZ NBL debut with the Manawatu Jets, where he showed himself to be a tenacious defender. A high character young man. He went on to say "We believe Rangimarie can be a valuable contributor to our team, and will always take a team first approach."

Mita says of the sigining "I am just extremely grateful for the opportunity, especially after doing my ACL, I wasn't sure if any teams would take a chance on me." 

The Saints are now stacked with some incredible local talents, Dion Prewster, Taane Samuels, Ezrah Vaigafa and with the addition of Mita, the squad are now close to finalising the roster for the 2021 season.
